We had a wonderful time with family visiting. We always enjoy spending time with Aunt Amy and Grandma Dean but this time was especially nice because they brought with them baby Cody.
Little Man loved his turn holding and feeding the baby!

We are so proud to announce the addition of a new family member. My brother-in-law was married over the weekend and we couldn't be happier for the newlyweds!

22/09: Welcome Pepper!

This is Pepper. She is the newest member of our household. She has been recently inherited from a neighbor that moved away. We took her willingly and happily. Curly has volunteered to care for her and they get along just fine.

This is a friend of ours over at Snow Hill. His name is Alexander, but you can call him Alex.

He was brought to Snow Hill as a kitten and has had a great time so far running the fields and keeping the small furry things away from the house. He does a great job catching mice and other small rodents but make sure and keep an eye open for him when you go. He likes to jump out from behind things and catch people too!

Yes, we had company over the weekend and I would love to introduce you to them.
Here are my in-laws, Grandma and Granddaddy, up from the south.

And this is my sister-in-law and her husband.

Now that we are done with the introductions, I can tell you all about our trip to the pumpkin patch.

Welcome and come on in,
Let me introduce myself and the rest of the gang.
Then there is myself. I have taken the name Mother. My oldest has always called me "Mommy" but Curly calls me "Mother" and it is just so cute and proper to hear a two year old say "Yes Mother, I will .....".
I am happily married and stay home with my beautiful children. We fill our days with home school, travel, learning and playtime. We enjoy all of the domestic arts associated with the homestead lifestyle such as cooking, gardening, sewing and such. Others we appreciate from a distance such as milking, shearing and fun with livestock.
My husband is a wonderful, loving, hard working man that appreciates the efforts that we put into making our house a home. I will use many names for my husband such as Daddy, Hubby or my dear and wonderful husband.
Let me introduce myself and the rest of the gang.
We will start with the youngest.

This is our "Little Man". He just turned one and is into everything. He thinks that he is so big.

Then there is "Curly Locks". We only hope that she keeps her curls. She is just about three, going on 10. She is such a smart little cutie!

Next is our oldest. Everyone calls her "Sissy". She is the little mother of the bunch and such a helper. At eight she is very grown up and very much a girly-girl. We like it that way.

Hello and how are ya?
I am so excited to have this blog to journal my gardening experiences. I have been gardening organically for the last few years. Mostly just playing around. Sowing seeds and harvesting enough to snack on. I am going to be serious this season and I am excited to see how bountiful my harvest will be.
This blog will serve as a record for myself as to what worked, what didn't and what I would like to try in the future. If you have any suggestions, feel free to comment. I am quit old fashioned so don't bother suggesting any new sprays or powders. I like old fashioned methods so give me all of those that you have!
