Sissy made her first basket today. She is very happy with how it turned out. She thought that she was going to make a small basket and was thrilled when she found out how big it was going to be. Here is a picture:

She is planning on using it for a lunch basket when we go to events and on field trips.

Curly has a loose tooth. She loves it! She sits with a mirror and watches as she wiggles it. She even called her friend Grace to let her know.

Did I mention that this is her first loose tooth?

So we were able to harvest some produce from our garden today. Here is a big dish pan full of tall telephone pole peas. I love these peas. They are super easy to pick, easy to shell and sweet when cooked.

26/06: Price List

Category: Rabbits
Posted by: Mother
We have been asked to post a price list so here it is:

pre-juniors 6 week - 3 months, pet quality $15.00
pre-juniors 6 week - 3 months, good color $25.00
Juniors 3-6 months $35.00
Intermediates 6-8 months $45.00
Seniors 8 months+ $55.00

In addition to this add:

$10.00 for each time the rabbit has won 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in it's class
$20.00 for each BOB or BOS
$25.00 for each leg

So if you would like a junior that has shown and it won 1st place in it's class then figure: $35.00 +$10.00 = $45.00

Obviously the least expensive would be a pre-junior. It also is a very fair price to ask $130.00 for a young senior Grand Champion.

I just finished Curly's costume. Here she is in her corded petti, calico dress and pinafore.

The corded petti is to give her dress fullness and the pinafore is to keep it clean. All she needs now is to have her hair fixed under a sun-bonnet and a pair of socks and shoes.

We took a field trip to the Thaddeus Stevens Blacksmith Shop museum at Caledonia State Park. It was a really short stay at the museum since it is just one room.

Then the children enjoyed the rest of their trip at the playground. I love field trips. :)

I just had to take a picture of my friends tomato trellis.

tomato trellis

Every year they have a problem of their tomato plants laying on the ground, loosing fruit to bugs and rot. They have tried to use the cage trellises but the plants get much to heavy.

I love what they did this year! Great idea!

Let me introduce you to Lucky. This is Sissy's new favorite bunny.

Lucky, the 3 week old Giant Chinchilla rabbit

He is 3 weeks old and we are very pleased with him so far. He is one of the three biggest in Mopsey's litter and has a great personality. Sissy handles him several times every day and he seems to love it. He comes over to be picked up each time she goes to see him.

BTW - I am just guessing that he is a boy. At this size you can't really tell. :)
